Quarterly Event at Hillfort Farm
Mark your calendars for September 26th! Our quarterly event at Hillfort Farm is set to be a game-changer. In partnership with Trailhead, we’ll be featuring speakers Tiam Rastegar and Brian Jorgenson, showcasing BEW food track semifinalists, and enjoying a presentation from Clay Young, Founder of SeekingSimple. Boise Entrepreneur Week
Boise Entrepreneur Week (BEW) is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to be part of this exciting event. BEW brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders for a week of inspiration and innovation. From pitch competitions to workshops, there’s something for everyone.
The Health Tech Track will be on October 1st, 9 am-12 pm. We will be featuring amazing speakers!
Jenni Gudapati will be engaging fireside chat where we dive into the dynamic world of healthcare transformation. This session will explore emerging technologies, value-based healthcare, payment reform, and other critical topics shaping the future of healthcare delivery.
Lexi Jensen will be moderating a panel of entrepreneurs in healthcare. Join entrepreneurs Tyler Hemsley, Ashley Crafton, Derek Baird, and Priya Kanaparti as they share the toughest moments of their journeys, their turning points, and the unique paths they’ve taken.
Lastly, we are excited to have Nadyne Richmond, head of design and research at RapidAI. She will be discussing real-life applications of AI in healthcare and opportunities for disruption in health tech!
At BEW, we will also be holding our first-ever Health Tech Challenge! The Health Tech Challenge is a dynamic, statewide competition hosted by Boise State University’s Venture College in partnership with Health Tech Idaho. This “reverse pitch” competition invites college and university students across Idaho to develop innovative solutions for real-world problems presented by industry partners within the health, med, and biotech sectors.
Participants will work through three phases, starting with a sprint to refine their ideas, followed by a preliminary pitch competition on September 26. The challenge culminates in the final pitch event on October 1 during Boise Entrepreneur Week, where the top teams will present their solutions to a panel of industry experts and compete for cash prizes and invaluable networking opportunities.
This event not only fosters innovation but also strengthens the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Idaho by bringing together students, mentors, and industry leaders.
